Total engagement from start to finish
With each new project, the directors maintain a personal involvement with their clients from the initial concept to its completion.
Managed service every step of the way
Following our appointment we undertake an in-depth consultation with you to establish a concise brief and explore various design options to ensure the projects viability and success in terms of the design, budget and timescales.
Our abilities, your dreams...
We can manage your project from initial concept or feasibility right through to building completion. We are also happy to take your project on at any stage or to any point.
You can make initial contact with us by either using the website contact form and request a call back or by calling us direct to discuss the detail of the project.
We will arrange an initial meeting at the prospective site to discuss the project & to establish the brief.
The site visit will also highlight any planning or design constraints as well as potential opportunities.
A design brief for the project is formed based on your requirements, level of service required, budget and your own personal taste.
This will be accompanied by a fee proposal for the services requested.
It is important that the brief is thoroughly formed at an early stage to maintain the communication required between the architect and client for a successful project.
As professionals we prefer to have a letter of appointment in place before proceeding with the commission.
We will explore a number of different schemes based on the initial design brief to varying levels of detail depending upon the project.
The design will be site specific, bespoke to your requirements and will consider issues such as the site constraints, orientation, gradients, neighbouring properties, outlook and general layout.
We have a number of tools available to us to help the client fully understand the design of a building. These include standard CAD drawings, sketch work and 3D computer visualisations.
Once a sketch scheme has evolved and meets with your approval, planning drawings will be produced with further detail, focusing on spatial arrangements, elevations, materials and the appearance.
Architecture Planning will act as your agent throughout the application process and liaise with the local Planning Authority on your behalf, we also complete the relevant application forms, produce design & access statements if required and advise you on other required documents to make a planning submission.
Upon approval, Architecture Planning can discharge any conditions resulting from your approval.
Further to the planning approval, a range of detailed information will be required prior to any building work commencing.
Depending on the service required this can include drawings for Building Regulations approval only or construction drawings and schedules.
Architecture Planning can prepare all the necessary information for tender. You may already have a builder or contractor in mind; alternatively we can recommend companies that we have worked with successfully in the past.
Architecture Planning offers a full contract administration and project management service; we will make visits to site as necessary during the construction process to assess the build quality and to assist with the production of further drawings or providing additional information.
Architecture Planning will inspect the completed building works if appointed to do so and identify any defects with the building, this work will be authorised once it is deemed satisfactory, under any building contract that has been entered into.
